amysdecadentchocolates.com   My second Amy of the day is Amy's Decadent Chocolates.  I love chocolate and Amy's Decadent Chocolates has some of the best around. The chocolate covered apples are delicious and there is a large selection of other treats that will satisfy the biggest chocolate addict. Amy's is a great place for gifts too. A variety of gift baskets can be shipped anywhere. There are also gift certificates available.

Greenwater Outfitters

Greenwater Outfitters is a Deli and Ski gear shop located in the tiny community of Greenwater which is located in the Cascade foothills about 17 miles east of Enumclaw on E. 410. Greenwater Outfitters has an excellent selection of  espresso, sandwiches, ice cream, and ski gear. Before you hit the slopes or begin another adventure in the mountains give Greenwater Outfitters a try.

German Pastry & Coffee Shop

The German Pastry & Coffee Shop was one of my Mother's favorite places. We would often go for a bowl of soup and some pastry. All of the pastries are excellent, but the cheesecake is my favorite. The prices are very reasonable and with all the German speaking diners you might think that you are sitting in an actual old world German Bakerei.

Buckley Nursery Garden Center

 The Buckley Nursery Garden Center carries a variety of trees, flowers,and plants. When I was looking for an apple tree, the staff went to great lengths to find the correct variety that could survive the cold winters of the Cascade Mountains. A year later, the apple tree is doing very well. The prices at Buckley Nursery Garden Center are very reasonable and a detailed information packet on the care of your plant or tree comes with the purchase. Buckley may be a little out of the way for some folks in the Puget Sound Region, but the drive is worth it.

The Daily Dish

The Daily Dish is a cozy eatery across from the Bremerton ferry dock at 208 first St.  Pasties (A type of filled pastry pronounced pass-tees) is the specialty of the house and can be ordered with chicken, turkey, and veggie and fruit filling.

There is also the soup of the day and several varieties of sandwiches including a meatball hoagie and a mini-cheeseburger.

"Donut Offense" is six dozen donuts + six dippings for only $20.

New Business

 Sabaidee Thai and Lao Cuisine is a new restaurant in downtown Bremerton and is located at 853 6th Street. The service at Sabaidee is friendly and efficient. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The most expensive item is "Tiger Cry Steak" at $11.95. Most dishes are around $8.00. There are several varieties of Pho ( noodle soup) for $6.49 in the small size and $7.95 for the large.
